After reading this book to audiences of children, I often ask questions like,
"Do you have some fun activities that you like to do outside of school?"
"Do you have a place where you like to find a moment of quiet?"
"Does anyone here today like to daydream?"
"What is your imagination?"
"Who likes to draw pictures?"
"Have you ever written a story?"
Their responses range from the specific to the sublime. By engaging in a positive, open-ended Q&A, I have been able to translate the message to have an even more lasting impact in the hearts and minds of my young listeners.
Having these conversations is the BEST part about having written this book!
